Love & Serve
If you’ve been considering involvement in DC127’s Safe Families Program or want to learn more about getting involved in ways to care for children and families in crisis within our community, please e-mail Lisa Slavovsky & Ian Milne at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
All Grace Mosaic members and regular attendees are encouraged to serve on one of our ministry teams.
Do you love to bake? Do you have an eye for beauty? Maybe the Hospitality team is for you. From fresh flowers and tablecloths to homemade scones and freshly brewed coffee – this team is prepared to provide an aesthetically appealing presentation that is sure to liven up those taste buds. Be part of a rotation that provides wholesome goods every Sunday at our refreshment table and part of the team that makes people feel more at home. For more information contact Vanessa Whitfield.
Grace Mosaic’s Media Team works closely with the lead pastor and staff to enhance the way we serve our community through various types of multimedia. The team is made up of producers, photographers, videographers, and a sound technician. The team is open to anyone who has interest and would like to gain skills in any of these areas. The gifts among the members of this team allow them to capture our church’s vision and create a screen presentation that appeals. If you would like more information or have an interest in joining, please contact Mosheh Gains.
Get involved behind the scenes and be a part of getting the service up and running! Come to the church early on Sunday morning to help prepare the space for worship and stay behind for a little while after the service has ended to ensure that the room has been restored to its original state. If you are interested in joining the set-up team, please contact Robert Henderson.
While we encourage all of our members to be warm and welcoming to newcomers who might be in our midst, the welcome team exists to lead our efforts in extending the welcome of God and keeping connected with visitors. If you would like to be a part of greeting those who are looking for a place to call home, this is the team for you! Please contact Vanessa Whitfield for more information.
Extending God’s care – the Care Team is here to serve the members of Grace Mosaic when they are experiencing circumstances that are out of the ordinary. These are the hands and feet of the Church, making you feel cared for by the community of God. This team will organize meals for our families with new babies, people who are sick, or undergoing more challenging situations (i.e. surgery, sudden job loss, spouse out-of-town/overseas, recent or impending move, etc.). Please contact Vanessa Whitfield if you are looking to be a part of this team.
The Prayer Team prays regularly for the ministry at Grace Mosaic along with the felt and expressed needs of our church and its people. The team receives and responds to prayer requests from the congregation and meet regularly to pray purposefully together. Please contact Vanessa Whitfield to get involved.
Children’s Ministry Team
At Grace Mosaic, we believe that children are an integral part of our community and want to welcome families to participate in worship together as a family unit. However, we cannot deny the need to come along side our parents and help educate their children and grow them in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. For this reason, a children’s ministry team will be formed to pay particular attention to the needs of our youngest members. They will serve as an integral part of implementing our vision during our Sunday worship service and seeing our children cared for during other meetings and special events. If you are interested in being on this team, please contact Vanessa Whitfield.
The small groups at Grace Mosaic will fit into three separate categories – Men’s Groups, Women’s Groups, and Community Groups. Each of these groups will serve as a means of community formation and spiritual care, providing both educational qualities and recreational outlets. If you are interested in being a part of one of these groups, please contact Vanessa Whitfield.
Social Events Team
BBQs, play dates at a nearby Rec. Center, book clubs, coffee and dessert – the Social Event Team exits to create different venues where our own congregation can grow together as a community, but it also provides a venue for our neighbors and friends to experience Christianity outside of the context of a Sunday morning worship service. To help be a part of this team or get involved implementing a creative idea you may have for us, contact Vanessa Whitfield.
