Priests and priesthood are a strange concept to many of us. Many aspects of them are hard to understand. What does it mean to have a priest intercede for you? Why would we need that? Why would we need Christ to be a better priest than the priests of the Old Testament? Questions like these have probably caused us to skip over passages like Hebrews 6:13-7:28, with all its complex talk about priesthood. However, despite its complexity, this passage has a lot to offer us because like the original audience, we still need a priest to intercede for us. We still need an advocate. We still need a good and life-giving promise. Listen in as we consider these things and what they mean for our lives.
