Francis Grimké was a brilliant theologian, pastor, and civil rights leader whose insights on race, justice, and the gospel are profoundly relevant today — but largely forgotten. McLean Presbyterian & Covenant Seminary invite you to an informative seminar featuring Dr. Drew Martin, to hear more about Francis Grimké and his remarkable story.

Fat Tuesday Feast
Our annual Fat Tuesday feast will be held on Febuary 17th from 6-7:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. The church will provide pancakes, but sides and drinks will be potlucked. Sign up to contribute a dish here.
Ash Wednesday
Join us in the Sanctuary for Ash Wednesday service on February 18th from 7-7:45am. If you can't make it to Mosaic's service, you can join our sister churches for worship later in the day! Grace Downtown will host a service at 12pm and Grace Meridian Hill will at 7pm.
RUF Connect Conference
Whether you’re a prospective college student or parent, an RUF or college alum, or share RUF's mission to reach college students with the gospel, the RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) Connect Conference is an event that you won’t want to miss!
The conference will feature guest speakers, music, and a college fair environment (with games and giveaways). You’ll hear encouraging testimonies of how God is impacting area universities through the evangelistic outreach and discipleship of RUF!
RUF staff and ministers from major universities across DC, VA, and MD, will be represented, including Grace Mosaic's friends and ministry partners at Howard RUF and RUF at the University of Maryland.

Grace DC Network Membership Seminar

KYM Winter Retreat
Koinonia Youth Ministries is heading out another Winter Retreat! This trip will kick off our spring series on the book of Revelation and be a time of fellowship, worship and fun for our youth. A Dawning Light
Grace Mosaic’s Annual A Dawning Light service is a contemplative time of story and song, inspired by the transformation of darkness to light in the season of Advent. Following the service, there will be light refreshments in the Fellowship Hall. This is a great event for inviting friends and neighbors! Register for the event here.
Jakana Family Send-Off
Our Pastoral Resident, Caleb, and his wife, Amanda (Campus Staff at the University of Maryland’s Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) chapter), are moving in January to plant a new RUF ministry in California. Join us in celebrating them and sending their family off on this new adventure!

If you have a neighbor who would benefit from a Thanksgiving gift card, please email The Diaconate (diaconate@gracemosaic.org) by Friday, November 14. Cards will be distributed to those requesting on Sunday, November 16, so they can get to neighbors in advance of the holiday.

GMO Annual Fall Retreat
Join the Grace Mosaic church family for our Ninth Annual Fall Retreat (October 31-November 2). This will be a full weekend spent drawing near to the Lord and to one another at a beautiful retreat center in Manns Choice, PA. This year's guest speaker will be Mike Khandjian, Senior Pastor of Chapelgate Presbyterian Church just outside of Baltimore. He will lead us in reflections on Faith, Hope, and Love. It is sure to be a time of rest, unity, and fun for our community. Whether you’re a longtime member or you’re new to Grace Mosaic, we’d love to have you with us! About Our Speaker:
Mike Khandjian and his wife Katherine live in the Greater Baltimore area, where he has served as Sr. Pastor of the Chapelgate Presbyterian Church for over 19-years. Before leading Chapelgate, Mike pastored two churches, one in Tallahassee, FL, and the other, his home church in Miami, FL, each 10-years. Katherine and Mike have three children and four grandchildren. She is a musician and quilter, and retired music teacher. He is the author of A Sometimes Stumbling Life, plays bad golf, and is a retired surfer. They have been married since 1982. They love the beach, travel, good movies, spy/crime series, books, their church community, and time together with their family.

On Saturday, October 25th (8:30-10am in the Fellowship Hall) join our next Men’s Fellowship Breakfast! This will be a great time to fellowship, pray together, and connect with other men in GMO. Our focus for the fall will be Scripture. We’d love for you to come and be fed both spiritually and physically.
Community Prayer Day
Mark your calendar for a day of extended prayer on 10/18 from 10am-6pm at the church. You can signup for specific time slots or join us all day! We will have prayer guides available and incorporate worship throughout the day. In addition to this prayer event, we will also have a prayer room available at our Fall Retreat, and we are planning a 24-hour Prayer Day for Lent next year. The vision is to provide time and space for our community to enter prayer together and experience the way that the Spirit meets us there.

London Mission Trip Report
Join us in the Fellowship Hall on August 23rd from 3-5pm to hear all about the recent trip to London for LEAP Week with Serge! A small team, including GMO staff, members, and youth, spent the week supporting and learning from churches doing cross-cultural ministry among South Asians. They are eager to share their experiences with our church family!
